we provide thoughtful design solutions

we collaborate and work effectively with you and your consultants

Do you have a design project in mind, but are too busy and don’t know where to start? You have so many ideas, but don’t know how to pull them all together? The process can be overwhelming.

You need a partner who is excited and willing to listen to your ideas. We come to the table with many years of design experience. We know how to complete a project by avoiding costly mistakes while working collaboratively with you. The goal of our organized five-step process is to remove the stress and have fun while creating a space that reflects your family’s personality.

IDEA EXCHANGE

all ‘let’s design’ projects start with an idea exchange

We provide in-person design assistance & ideas - you choose the agenda and we help to resolve your design challenges. Idea exchanges provide a SOLID FOUNDATION and a jump start to larger projects.

collect

questionnaire • sign contract • site day - measure, photos, define scope

LETS GET TOGETHER and launch this project! We’ll meet at your house to listen to all your ideas, needs/wants and project goals. We’ll review your completed questionnaire. Once we’ve gotten to know you and understand your goals, we’ll define the scope of your project, discuss budget, finalize the contract and survey the existing space.

conceptualize

design options & mood boards • preliminary design drawings • program elements & design direction

We pull together DESIGN CONCEPTS that reflect your personal style by developing mood-boards with ‘big picture’ ideas. We then develop and create schematic design drawings. We will review the design direction and schematics in an on-site meeting.

create & collaborate

design drawings • finish and fixture options • details• showroom visits

We are excited to get down to the details! We will further DEVELOP the approved ideas from the ‘conceptualization’ phase and prioritize the selections that most clearly align with your project goals. We simultaneously generate floor plans and elevations and continue to review the project process and budget. Following our research and documentation, we’ll present these ideas for your approval in an on-site client work session.

completion

complete design documentation • provide documentation to contractor

This part of the process is where we finalize all selections (finishes, fixtures, lighting, etc) and COMPLETE the design documentation (scaled floor plans and elevations). All documentation is provided to the contractor for construction.

construct

project site visits • resolution of construction issues & coordination of details• punchlist

We work together closely with the contractor to monitor and ensure a streamlined project. We visit the site as needed to resolve issues and coordinate details. Once the project is complete, the only remaining task is to live it up in your new space. Welcome home!

+ why should I hire an interior designer?

Working with a design professional prevents you from making mistakes and will save you time and money. We will recommend the best way to plan/organize your space, so that your home’s potential is maximized. We will also suggest the most functional and aesthetically appropriate materials, finishes and products for your redesign. Lastly, we will be your partner, listening to your concerns and helping you navigate recreating your space.

+ do you have a minimum project size requirement?

While we take on redesign projects of various sizes, we require a minimum 15 hour design services commitment. Our experience has taught us that this is the minimum amount of time we need to create a comprehensive and well crafted space. Otherwise, the project becomes more task focused and less about our company’s focus and passion of curating fully developed and designed spaces.

+ why do you need to know what I plan to invest on my project?

Understanding what you want to invest on your project, allows us to precisely plan and design your new home to your specifications and needs. Being transparent about your investment saves time and money. It allows us to make informed decisions that benefit your lifestyle.

+ what can I expect during a redesign?

Our redesign approach is a way for you to reimagine your space without the mess of a full-scale construction project. The goal is to transform your space through spatial organization, as well as new furniture, fixtures, and finish selections. We create mood and product boards that visually illustrate how all the elements come together. Once we have an agreed upon design, we provide a specification list with all the details for you to implement. This gives you a road map to guide you through the process of updating your space. Our approach takes the guesswork out of the process and gives you the flexibility to update your home at your own pace.

+ do you work on renovation projects?

We are happy to apply our redesign approach to renovation projects! While you’re working with a contractor on major changes to your space, we’d love to help you with selecting the furniture, fixtures, and finishes required to create a fully-designed space that reflects the needs of you and your family.
